Community Highlights: Meet Leanna DeBellevue of DeBellevue Global Marketing Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leanna DeBellevue.

Hi Leanna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story. 
My story has changed quite a bit over the last 14 years of being a business owner and in the marketing industry. When I first started, I was a single mom with two children, and I needed a job that allowed me to care for them while still being able to attend school functions and everything that a mom is supposed to be able to accomplish. My focus was on them and making ends meet. As we have grown and evolved, my role as a business owner has changed. Now, my role is that of a mentor to other businesswomen just starting out and working hard to create an environment where our employees can thrive, grow, and flourish. I am always looking to grow and stretch personally and professionally. Our company culture has been a strong focus of mine since we brought on employees over a decade ago.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It is very easy to talk about the success and try to gloss over the struggles, but I think it is the responsibility of business owners to be honest about the journey so that others starting on the path understand that there are definite ups and downs. The biggest struggles for me personally have been trying to constantly balance between personal and professional responsibilities. There are only so many hours in a day, and trying to get everything checked off my to-do list is always a struggle. The second biggest struggle has been knowing how and when to outsource certain aspects of my business. I know now that I need to understand ALL aspects of my business, but I don’t need to be the one DOING all aspects of my business. I do what I know moves the business forward and outsource all the rest to experts in their field.
