Community Highlights: Meet Krista Contreras of Face It Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krista Contreras.

Hi Krista, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In starting my business, my vision was simple-my goal was to create an environment where I could make my clients feel seen, heard and understood while building their self-confidence from the inside out. In my experience, being a woman comes with the feeling of having to be perfect, especially on the outside. While the success of my business is very much results-driven, the soul of my success is based on creating meaningful relationships with my clients. I like to know about their families, their goals and hardships- what makes them who they are. If they feel fulfilled when leaving my treatment room, I feel even more fulfilled.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The unknown can be terrifying. I took a leap of faith in quitting my second job to focus solely on growing my business. Building my clientele has been the hardest and at times most defeating part of owning my own business. To grow my following and keep them, I really focus my efforts on heightening my education to stay relevant with the trends.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Like a lot of my clients, I suffered from acne as a young teen all the way into my late 20’s. I went from one dermatology appointment to the next only to be put on oral antibiotics and topicals for years. After hours of my own research, I quickly realized that great skin begins with great skincare. This ignited my love for the aesthetics field and finding ways to treat skincare conditions in a healthier way. I am very passionate about finding the root cause of my client’s skincare concerns. My goal is to transform their skin and maintain its health and vitality through comprehensive consultations and skin-altering ingredients.

What matters most to you?
Honestly, integrity and trust mean the most to me. Integrity in the workplace is so important in order to create a safe space where my clients can trust me with whatever comes up during their service.
