Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Hope.
Hi Kim, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always had a love for teeth and knew I wanted to work in the dental field.
After working as a front office assistant in a dental office, I knew my heart belonged in the back office, working with patients as a Registered Dental Hygienist. I figured I would chase my dream after my kids were all in school, but was soon a single mom with 3 very young kids and knew I needed to fast forward my plan. I have now been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 21+ years.
After working in a very busy dental practice for 20 years, I decided to return to school to become an Independent Dental Hygienist and open my own dental hygiene practice. I now am the owner of All Smiles Dental Hygiene and offer preventative care to many patients. I am living a dream!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest struggles was going through the dental hygiene program as a single mother with 3 small children. Even though this was the biggest struggle, it also pushed me to do better and succeed.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
All Smiles Dental Hygiene is an Independent Dental Hygiene practice located in the Central Valley. There are not a lot of dental hygiene practices in California and I am so proud to be able to have one of the few brick-and-mortar offices that can offer preventative care to patients.
At All Smiles Dental Hygiene, patients will experience a calmer environment with less dental noise. Anxiety levels are usually lower and patients feel more comfortable being the only one in the office.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Complaining about something over and over will not change your situation. If you are unhappy or frustrated with how your life is going, do something to change it. Chase your dreams. You can make your dreams come true if you believe and work hard.
