Community Highlights: Meet Kim Bryant of Thrive Pelvic Health and Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Bryant.

Kim, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I had been a physical therapist for a few years before having my first baby. It wasn’t until I had a traumatic birth experience that left me with postpartum depression and anxiety that I looked into pelvic health physical therapy. I felt so unsupported, and alone in my new body and life. My darkest postpartum days is what fuels me as a provide space, healing and support for women. Throughout this journey into pelvic health physical therapy, I have enjoyed serving women through all stages of life from menstrual health, fertility support, pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey into entrepreneurship has had its ups and downs. I have had many times at the start of my business that I have failed. For example, one summer, I put tons of hours into a “Core and More” 5-week course at a local gym. I purchased some audio equipment, bought chairs, and even stopped to get coffee and snacks. The class started at 9am by 9:10 I knew no one was coming. I left that day barely holding myself together and questioning myself. After a couple days of moping around like I just lost my dog, I picked myself up and allowed that experience to push me even harder. I started networking with anyone that would allow me to talk. After the end of 6 months, my private pelvic health practice was starting to grow. I still have to work my tail off to get the Thrive name out there but I am able to be more specific in the groups I connect with. Then there was that time I had to weather the storm of a pandemic, but that is an entirely another story.

As you know, we’re big fans of Thrive Pelvic Health and Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
