Community Highlights: Meet Johnny and Lara Fernandez of Feminine Radiance & Courage Institute

Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnny and Lara Fernandez

Hi Johnny and Lara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Lara here– after my divorce at a young age and then spending the next decade attracting commitment-phobes and players, I realized I needed to do dating WAY differently to find a fulfilling, lasting marriage. I sought mentors and intentionally focused on finding the right man, which led me to Johnny.

Fast forward to living our dream life together, happily married with an amazing daughter. Johnny was a high school teacher planning to start his own charter high school, and I was a chiropractor running my own practice. In 2005, my patients started asking how I found such an amazing man. So we set up a little workshop to share my unique intentional dating process. The reaction was incredible, and we realized that we could truly help women.

Now, after almost two decades of coaching professional women to have it all on their terms, officiating weddings, and welcoming Love Warrior babies, we’ve only just begun.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Lara: Just like any other part of life, the road traveled along the years as we built our business was not always free of obstacles. There’s an added layer of intimacy when your business is directly tied to your personal life, events like death of a loved one inevitably impact operations. However we have been blessed by not just a strong and supportive team, but also by the best clients in the world. Those two together form what we call our Love Warrior Community, and they wrap us in love and understanding when we need it most.

Johnny: I think the other struggle that comes to mind is trying to show our potential clients that they are worthy of having love for themselves. We’re not selling a product that can be bought while you‘re out at the mall. It’s so easy to say “I deserve this new pair of shoes!” But unfortunately, it can be really challenging to declare “I am worthy of unconditional love” and then to act accordingly to prepare for that. And that’s exactly what our clients are doing when they sign up to work with us, they are taking a stance for themselves, their hopes, and the life of their dreams.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Since 2005, it’s been our mission to help women attract the love AND the life of their dreams, so they can truly have it all. In our programs, we have a holistic approach to coaching– we know that your love life affects your whole life and vice versa. It’s not about superficial, quick tips and tricks to get a date. It’s about learning a whole new mindset and approach to love and life, one that supports the balanced life and healthy, lifelong love we all want.

Targeted personal development to boost single women’s confidence with men and in their life overall is a necessary step in preparing for what they really want-true love, marriage, and family.

Most love coaches are either a man or a woman coaching alone– and many of them don’t have soulmate love themselves. Since we coach together, we’re really proud to be able to offer both a masculine and feminine perspective in our coaching and to teach tools and practices that we know work- not only because they’re research-based, but because we’ve been using them ourselves over our 23 years of marriage.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Johnny: Oh there’s been so many lessons along our journey. But one that I think is constantly coming up is this: Our mission is so needed in this world. There are times we’ve struggled with the technical aspects that come with managing/owning a business: outreach, finding a voice within the ever-growing and ever-changing industry that finding love has become.

And sometimes it can feel a bit… defeating. But when we get a card in the mail: another one of our clients is engaged!, or Lara will get a FB message from a former client letting us know she’s expecting!, or a current client will share a massive breakthrough celebration during one of our live Q&A coaching calls…. and when those happen (and they happen often), it’s a strong reminder that what we do matters, our mission is life changing and it’s not only impacting our clients… but the force of it is also changing the lives of future generations, and that is the fuel that keeps us going.
