Community Highlights: Meet Jayme Gaulden of NamaStay Fit – Yoga | Pilates | Vibes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayme Gaulden.

Hi Jayme, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been active my whole life—running, lifting, yoga—all of it. In my 20s, I faced significant weight gain, but that sparked an 80-pound weight loss. From 2010 to 2017, I ran 11 marathons and 4 half marathons. In 2015, I had an ablation for asymptomatic AFib. In 2017, I became a certified hot yoga instructor, having fallen in love with the bikram practice. In 2018, I expanded into Pilates and fitness. By 2021, I was competing in bikini bodybuilding, with 10 shows under my belt, including 3 national shows. In 2022, I became a Yoga Fitness Director—until that gym abruptly closed in 2023. I turned that adversity into opportunity and founded NamaStay Fit. In January 2024, I lost my sister to suicide, which deepened my mission. Now, through my studio, I blend yoga, Pilates, fitness, and advocacy for mental health and suicide prevention. My purpose is to hold space for others and build a resilient community.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road at all. I faced many challenges. Unfortunately, I had a really rough start with an investor and many challenges along the ways along with many delays of opening my space.
The delay of the opening of my space caused a significant loss and lack of revenue that was originated from the beginning projections. But we have over come and are here today making a difference in our community like we planned.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At NamaStay Fit, I’ve built a community-focused wellness studio that blends yoga, Pilates, and fitness training. We specialize in holistic health—physical strength balanced with mental well-being. I’m known for creating a welcoming space where everyone, from pro athletes to newcomers, feels supported. I’m most proud of our mental health advocacy—especially our work around suicide prevention, which is deeply personal to me. What sets us apart is that we’re not just a fitness studio—we’re a community that truly supports each other’s journeys, both inside and out.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love our people, weather and the sunsets.
We have some of the best places to go to eat as well as so, many small supported businesses like mine.

It gets challenging during snowbird season. But also I’ve met a lot of amazing snowbirds.
