Community Highlights: Meet Jamie Seeker of Seeker Solution

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Seeker.

Hi Jamie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story. 
I always knew I wanted to work in business in some capacity, and I majored in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis at the University of San Diego. I put that degree to use right away by jumping into internships in many different industries and trying out a variety of new things.

I worked in retail, sales, finance, and customer service and “officially” kicked off my career in non-profit operations. I worked my way up from the front line to coordinator and supervisory positions to finally director and regional level roles. After a decade of working in the non-profit sector, I made a drastic change to my small business and managed a private medical practice. I absolutely loved that change of pace.

I started off as a small cog in a big, corporately structured nonprofit wheel, with many of my initiatives being slow-rolling. The change to small business management allowed me to see my decisions and initiatives implemented almost immediately and experience the fruits of my labor right away instead of far off down the road.

I was hooked. I loved making an immediate impact on the work I was doing, and a few years later, when the opportunity presented itself, I found myself wanting to start my own business. This is how Seeker Solution was started! I took an inventory of my skill set and utilized my experience in the small business world.

This is where each service we offer in operations management was formed. It was directly from my experience seeing the need for Human Resources, Social Media, Business Strategy, Process, Learning and Development, and Financial Solutions geared specifically for small and medium-sized business owners.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! It’s been easy, and I have loved the work that we’ve been able to do. But so hard in that we’ve faced so many economic and worldwide obstacles that have significantly affected not only my business but my clients as well. We’ve had to learn and grow with the advancements in technology, worldwide pandemics, and downturns in the economy, to name a few.

As you know, we’re big fans of Seeker Solution. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Seeker Solution, business owners outsource their operational bottlenecks to us. There are six major areas of the business operation that the small business owner typically gets bogged down with once their company reaches a certain size. Those areas include Human Resources (HR), Business Planning, Financials, Learning & Development (L&D), Social Media, and Process.

Once all of these areas get to be too big for one single person to handle, they hire us to come in and fill one or all! Of those roles and free up time for them to refocus their time and attention on their areas of expertise. What sets us apart is we aren’t typical consultants who only advise clients. We also come alongside the company and work closely with the owner and team members within our scope to deliver services that meet their particular operational needs.

I am most proud of the results we’ve been able to achieve with our clients over the years. The life change we’ve witnessed our clients experience along the way has been so rewarding, and we truly value that they have allowed us to be a part of that, in whatever part we’ve been able to play.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
It’s a two-way relationship. Of course, we bring our process and bring in healthy success metrics and accountability. However, I believe it’s our collaborative approach and our willingness to invest in our clients and their teams. They also have to be ready to make changes, collaborate, and follow through on action steps. So, collaboration is definitely one of the most important characteristics we’ve seen that has led to successful outcomes.
