Community Highlights: Meet Han Luu of Han Luu – Real Estate Agent

Today we’d like to introduce you to Han Luu.

Han, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
If you were to ask anyone who knows me, they’d confirm that I know almost all the Tiktok trends by heart. Social media and marketing has always felt like second nature to me, which is how I ended up working in this field. After I graduated college, I spent a few years exploring different types of related jobs from traditional to digital marketing. I noticed that in order to stay productive working with multiple clients and short deadlines, what you can do is limited in an 8 hour work day.

After work hours, I’d immediately go home to take my real estate classes and even squeeze in a social media project every chance I got. I was starting to get burnt out, slowly losing touch of my purpose and creativity.

So, I took a leap of faith and said goodbye to my reliable and steady income (cries). I spent the next 2 months studying for the real estate exam, took a lot of Ls (failures), but I always picked myself up. Being unemployed at the time, I had no other choice but to keep going. Once I got my license, I interviewed with at least 10 different brokerages/teams before I finally chose my team, the Exec-Elite, at Realty Executives. If I was going to drop everything, I was going to do it right. I wanted to learn from the best in the business.

Being a real estate agent for only about 3 months, I’ve closed on 1 property and am in escrow with 2 other properties. Not only that, but I now have the freedom and time to take my marketing skills to build my own personal brand. That’s both for real estate and @hanneats (my food instagram). I will say, the obstacles I face are 10, 20 times harder, but now, I get to do the things I love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I still remember flipping over my first real estate score sheet to find out I failed by 1% . Tears slowly trickled down my face as I stared at my score, to the proctor, and back to my score. Call me dramatic, but it was hard. I left my full-time job and spent months studying only to fail. There was no end in sight and quitting honestly crossed my mind. However, after bawling my eyes out for the next hour, I drove myself to a coffee shop and hit the books.

It didn’t get any easier, but that was one of the first struggles I encountered when I started my journey. Each time I make it out alright, I learned I’ll always be ok, which is why I’ll keep going.

We’ve been impressed with Han Luu – Real Estate Agent, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a real estate agent in Arizona focused on residential properties on the Exec-Elite team at Realty Executives, working alongside top producing agents with over 40 years of experience. As the real estate industry evolves, digital marketing is more necessary than ever before, which is what sets me apart. With my background spanning over 5 years in digital marketing, I’m able to bring my expertise cultivated in both in-house and agency environments.

Also, I know real estate is most likely one of the biggest transactions people will have to deal with and I take pride in making the process as seamless as possible for my clients.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Growing up, my parents were always working. They owned nail salons, where my brother and I would spend our time after school. For the most part, we stayed until they closed, which was either 9pm or 7pm. I helped as much as I could with greeting customers and checking them out, but one time, a customer asked me if I was getting paid to do this. I remember I was so shocked she would even ask such a question. Of course not. This is a family business, right? She handed me $2 and in that moment, I learned the possibilities of working for your money. I felt so rich that day.
