Community Highlights: Meet Geanine Magaña of Thee Body Sculptress

Today we’d like to introduce you to Geanine Magaña.

Hi Geanine, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started Thee Body Sculptress back in 2019. I took a body contouring class to earn income while I worked towards getting into nursing school. I quickly fell in love with body contouring since I have a huge passion for anatomy and physiology, and I also fell in love with working for myself. I went from being a mobile tech to being able to rent a small room out of a hair salon just 6 months into my endeavor. A few months into my business, I leaped and decided to start training other women on body contouring. Since I was (am) so passionate about it, I wanted girls to know the proper way of doing body contouring, as this procedure has a lot of fluid fluctuating, heat, and adipose disbursement. Furthermore, as I continued working and continued my education, I’d often get asked if I would do aesthetics once I graduated. It was not in the plan, but since I loved working for myself and love the beauty industry, it made a lot of sense to do so. Once I graduated and passed state boards, I signed up for an accredited course to get my injectable certification. I have moved into a bigger location and added multiple services to my menu, such as fillers, neuromodulators, and microneedling. October 2023, I celebrate 4 years in business. I want much more for TBS, and I have huge faith that my goals and dreams will come true.

It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have been blessed with some of the best patients who make this so smooth. I have built some amazing connections that I now get to call so many of these women my friends.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I want you guys to know that I do everything with full passion. I give my all to everything, especially when treating my patients. I specialize in body contouring, body contouring training, injectables, and microneedling. What sets me apart from others is wanting to build a relationship with everyone who walks into my suite. I see a person wanting help with something they cannot correct themselves, so I strive to make this person feel as comfortable as possible with me and work as hard as I can to achieve their desired outcome. I am most proud of my authenticity and transparency. I have always wanted to stay true to myself and what I like and do not like, and I have always tried to make sure all my patients and friends on social media know where I am at in life and what is next for me and TBS. I want everyone to know that medical aesthetics is here to make a change in you in the most subtle way. Enhancing your natural features is the ultimate goal, as you are already beautiful.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was a shy little girl. It wasn’t until around high school that I became more outgoing and was then considered an extrovert. I have always been a girly girl; everything pink, dresses, makeup, and hair-related was my jam. I did sports for a bit, but deep in my heart, I knew it was a no for me, and I needed to be inside with the AC, lol.
