Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Lara.

Hi Elizabeth, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Throughout my career in Aesthetic Medicine, I have accumulated over six years of experience. My journey began with the administration of aesthetic injections of Dysport and Restylane products in a physical medicine clinic where I worked as a new NP, simultaneously administering muscle, tendon, and joint injections on the physical medicine side. It was at this juncture that my passion for the Aesthetic side of medicine was ignited. Following a year-long hiatus to care for my son, I was resolute in my pursuit of a career in Aesthetic Medicine upon my return to work. I was fortunate to secure a position at a nascent med spa that was seeking an NP, and as the med spa’s client base expanded, so did my experience, encompassing other injectable product lines, traditional microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, and laser treatments.

After 4.5 years at the med spa, I decided to embark on a new chapter and establish my own med spa. Since December 2023, I have been the proud owner of Your Aesthetic Oasis. The experience of owning and nurturing my own business has been immensely fulfilling. I find great joy in overseeing something that I have built from the ground up. My clientele has been consistently supportive and encouraging, serving as my most ardent supporters and contributing significantly to my success.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Throughout this journey, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Portrait Healthcare, a company dedicated to supporting aesthetic injectors and facilitating the launch of their businesses. My experience with Portrait has been exceptionally positive, significantly streamlining the process for me. While I’ve encountered some challenges, particularly in developing my business acumen, I have found the learning process to be both engaging and rewarding.

Your Aesthetic Oasis is a medical spa that specializes in personalized treatment plans for facial aesthetics. The establishment is female-owned and offers a range of services including injectables, collagen stimulators, microneedling, and medical-grade skincare. The most popular services include Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify, which are neuromodulators. In addition, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm are available for addressing volume loss. We also offer collagen stimulators like Sculptra, Radiesse, PRF, and PRF ezGel. These options are particularly beneficial as individuals start to experience collagen loss in their mid-20s. Our reputation is built on the expertise of our founder, Elizabeth Lara, who has over 6 years of experience in aesthetic medicine and is known for her attention to detail and commitment to achieving natural and realistic results for her clients. At Your Aesthetic Oasis, every client’s treatment plan is personalized based on their unique aesthetic goals. We prioritize honesty and ensure that treatments are only administered when warranted. The attainment of my undergraduate and graduate degrees, alongside the unwavering support of my exceptional husband and family, has been a source of immense fortune. Serendipity led me to roles that ignited my passion, particularly in Aesthetic Medicine. The integration of Aesthetic Medicine into the physical medicine clinic where I previously worked proved pivotal in steering my career trajectory.
