Community Highlights: Meet Diane Palacios of Palacios Crew Counseling

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diane Palacios. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Palacios Crew Counseling LLC was born out of the desire to provide empowerment, hope, and healing to those that are being served. This month, Palacios Crew Counseling LLC turns two years old and there has been a lot of growth.

Diane is certified in Perinatal Mental Health and EMDR and specializes in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders as well as Birth trauma, infant grief, and loss. Diane is an Approved Consultant in Training with EMDRIA working towards becoming an Approved Consultant.

As a business owner, Diane recognizes the needs of the clientele she serves and works to ensure that their needs are being met. In Aug 2022, Lyndsay Morgan, LMSW joined Palacios Crew Counseling and started providing therapy in the evenings and weekends as the necessity for evenings and weekends became evident. Susan Kinkel, LMFT, became a part of Palacios Crew Counseling LLC to support couples and families seeking healing as the need for couples and family therapy grew.

Through the abounding needs of birthing people and families and the birthing community, Diane saw the need to serve in more ways than providing counseling and joined the Board of Post- Partum Support International- Arizona Chapter in order to help facilitate systemic change and support the greater birthing community at large.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The challenge of being a business owner with a growing business is knowing one’s strengths and weaknesses and being able to identify the needs and areas for growth.

As business ebbs and flows, it is important to stay intentional about goals and identify and rely on support in the areas where support is needed as well as to ensure that contractors are supported.

We’ve been impressed with Palacios Crew Counseling LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Palacios Crew Counseling LLC currently has three therapists. Diane Palacios LPC LISAC PMH-C is certified and specializes in Perinatal Mental Health and EMDR. Diane is known for providing therapy for birthing people/their partners for birthing trauma, postpartum depression, and anxiety as well as adjusting to becoming a parent and normalizing the adjustment, transition, and shift in identity.

Diane also is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training and provides consultation to therapists seeking to become certified in EMDR. Lyndsay Morgan, LMSW specializes in working with teens and adults with anxiety, depression, and substance use.

Susan Kinkel, LMFT specializes in working with families, and couples, is trained in EMDR and Gottmann as well as has a background in substance use.
