Community Highlights: Meet Dawn Carroll of Lori Blank & Associates, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Carroll.

Dawn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into Real Estate began in 1997 after my husband and I relocated to Arizona from Chicago via Green Bay, Wisconsin. My background as a professional musician and actor made Real Estate a natural fit and I found the business and the process and the people and relationships fascinating from the very beginning starting out as a solo agent with Prudential Arizona Properties. When the brokerage shifted and the local office closed I joined forces with Lori Blank who has been a support and an inspiration and a mentor. I admire her and am in awe of everything she has accomplished. When Lori decided to step back she I was honored to be asked to take over and purchased the business in November of 2023. The transition has been challenging and rewarding in equal parts. Our agents are the BEST in the business and they inspire me every day. We have a very unique business model and brokerage. We are all Independent Contractors but we come together as a family and are constantly helping each other. I find that to be extremely refreshing and inspiring. We are now 25 Agents and Brokers strong and my goal and focus has shifted to include working tirelessly to make each and every one of them as successful as possible. At the same time I am also actively working with my sellers and buyers to help make their dreams a reality. Over 90% of my business is referral generated as that is how I built my business and my personal brand from the very beginning. The key and most important factor in this business is relationships. And if you maintain that focus you can do amazing things. If you are able and present to nurture and care for those relationships in a sincere and true way the business takes care of itself. Navigating clients through the challenging process of buying and selling during ALL of the different market cycles over the years has reaffirmed my belief in the sacred trust we have with our clients. Staying the course and coming out through the other side of a downturned market, and thriving, is key to surviving in this industry. Real Estate is always changing and our job is to help our clients continually navigate those changing markets and conditions successfully. We are also VERY deeply rooted in the Gold Canyon community,. We try to give back as much as possible throughout the year with annual events we host and sponsor from tree lighting ceremonies, caroling, bell ringing for Salvation Army, boutique fundraisers and our annual Shred-A-Thon which benefits the Apache Junction Food Bank and last spring raised over $2500 in cash and over 6000 pounds of food by shredding over 22,000 pounds of paper for local residents and businesses. My attitude is always as positive as possible and I always make every effort to come from a place of Yes! This is true in all walks of my life. My friends and family are extremely supportive and all visit as often as possible – my door is always open and thankfully there is never a shortage of visitors. And in rare down time I enjoy spending time with my 100+ pound pitbull mix MarshMallow who my husband rescued a few months before he passed away. We start the day at the baby grand piano which is a lifelong dream fulfilled and love to play and sing and admire the beauty of Gold Canyon and our views of the Superstition Mountains. Looking ahead my goals are to focus on solidifying our agents’ productivity by implementing new and different ways to market our amazing brand and to research and continually implement new lead generation tools to ensure everyone’s success. I am grateful for every single opportunity and look forward to seeing what the future holds!
