Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Freese.

Beth Freese

Hi Beth, It’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could share some of your backstory with our readers.
Many experiences have shaped my path toward becoming a licensed psychotherapist. In my teenage years, the loss of a friend to untreated mental illness marked a pivotal moment that set me on a trajectory of understanding human behavior and the enduring impacts of life’s challenges. I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in professional counseling, deepening my fascination with the intricacies of the mind, brain, and the art of healing.

Advanced training and education further honed my expertise, with a particular focus on chronic pain and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Working with these populations, I discovered my true calling as a licensed therapist. My commitment to ongoing professional development led me to pursue advanced training in trauma processing therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and neurobiologically informed processing therapies like Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR).

Now, as the founder and CEO of Evolve Therapy, a group practice located in Phoenix, AZ, I am dedicated to helping those who feel like they’ve exhausted their options. While our primary focus revolves around assisting busy professionals and entrepreneurs navigating the challenges of demanding lifestyles and complex pain, our services are open to any adult seeking a successful approach to healing. We are well-equipped to help with various difficulties, ensuring our support is comprehensive and practical. It’s a fulfilling journey, and I’m grateful to have found my place in health care.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey of establishing Evolve Therapy has been rewarding, though not without its share of challenges along the way. Building this specialized group practice demanded extensive effort, additional training, and countless hours dedicated to developing a solid program for our patients. Growing my team has involved a meticulous search for the right clinicians. This process sometimes presented difficulties, but I remain unwavering in my commitment to assembling a stellar team and am focused on ongoing growth. I am proud of the unique perspectives and high level of care that our dedicated team brings to Evolve Therapy, making a meaningful impact on the well-being of our community.

I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Evolve Therapy?

I have been a dedicated yoga practitioner for almost a decade. My journey began during graduate school, and over the years, I’ve invested more than 400 hours in yoga teacher training. I have taught over 1,000 hours of yoga classes throughout Arizona, ranging from vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, power yoga, meditation, and breathwork. While I stopped teaching yoga during the pandemic, I now focus on deepening my practice and spreading awareness about yoga’s physiological and psychological benefits.
