Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley McPoland.
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I began my career in real estate as a real estate agent in the Chandler area. After learning more about the financing side of the real estate transaction, I became fascinated. I pursued a career as a loan processor and learned the ins and outs of mortgage very well. After 4 years of loan processing, I decided to start taking on my own clients as a loan consultant. Today I am successfully running my own business as a mortgage loan officer and have a team of boss babes who work for me as well!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I had my weeks where I was working 50-65 hours when I first entered real estate. I am glad to have a more balanced schedule now! I own my successes to my mentors who so willingly poured their heart and soul into training me. Being so young (24) and running a successful business also has its challenges. I believe at a first glance; most people feel I am incapable of holding a financial role/title such as loan consultant. I have enjoyed surprising many people along the way!
We’ve been impressed with Ashley McPoland – Home Loan Consultant, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am actually licensed in 4 states: Arizona, Washington, California & Illinois. I am proud to be quickly growing my social media page (@mortgagexashleymcp). I bring a youthful and trendy take on lending. I am not your average middle-aged male working in mortgage. I always tell my clients: “Bye-Bye Boring Consultations”! I love connecting with millennial homebuyers and helping first-time homebuyers. I pride myself in the educational support I provide to my clients (which most lenders don’t take the time to do)!
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
