Community Highlights: Meet Ashley Aranda of Platinum Wellness & Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Aranda.

Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began my career as a police officer in 2005 for the City of Coolidge. Throughout my career, I have had many experiences including attending the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA where I received specialized training in computer and cell phone forensics. I spent 9 years as a detective, specializing in computer crimes, sex crimes and child crimes. I promoted within the unit to the rank of Sergeant and later returned to the Patrol Division as a Patrol Sergeant. I am now 13 months away from retirement.

In 2021, I began preparing for my retirement. I have always been a creative, and decided to take a certification course in permanent makeup. I instantly fell inlove. I immediately opened a business in Chandler where I continued my education learning different modalities within the permanent makeup industry. Since then, I have become multi-certified in various skills. One treatment I provide is very near and dear to me. 3D Areola tattooing, for women (and men) who have suffered from Cancer and require breast reconstruction. I have worked very hard over the years to perfect my craft. I have an incredible soft spot for these patients and have become credentialed to bill insurance for these services to ensure these patients have excellent care without breaking the bank.

In April of 2024, we opened Platinum Wellness & Aesthetics where we are a full service medspa. We offer permanent makeup, paramedical tattoo (scar camouflage, stretch mark revision and 3D Areola Tattoos), aesthetic treatments (facials, peels, etc), laser hair removal, body contouring, teeth brightening, microneedling, cosmetic injectables and IV and vitamin therapy.

This work is truly my passion and I enjoy meeting each and every new patient.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. My full-time career definitely has it’s challenges with consistent ups and downs. But finding my true calling in the medspa has given me a renewed sense of purpose.

When I first began in the permanent makeup industry, I found it very challenging to capture patients. The industry is very saturated and unless you truly perfect your craft, you have tons of competition. It took me well into a year before I truly felt my skill and customer service skills were beginning to stand out from the other artists. I have a special skill of reading people and truly understanding what they want and need. I feel this has helped tremendously over the years expand my business into what it is today.

When I began my path into paramedical tattooing, I found that many physicians are protective of their patients, as they should be. Building my brand and trust within the community has taken some time, however fostering foundational relationships and cooperative treatment plans has become a labor of love. I love meeting new surgeons and showing them my work to create patient care plans that are beneficial for long term happiness and wholeness.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My husband and I are both first responders. We have served local communities for over 35 years between us. We take patient care very seriously and want to ensure each and every person who gives us a call or steps into our door feels truly special and cared for. We expanded our business to include MedSpa services, including IV Therapy/Mobile IV Therapy with patient care in mind in April of 2024. Our medical director, Doctor Ubong Attah Prince of Phoenix (Rejuvenature Medical) is a naturopathic physician with exceptional patient care and extensive knowledge of natural remedies to many common, and not so common ailments and other medspa services.

Our IV Therapy services are available 24/7 either in the medspa or at a location of the patient’s choice. Our team of providers provide exceptional patient care and have decades of experience between them. We have partnered with many other businesses (wellness centers, other medspas, etc) within the valley area to provide these services within their establishments as well. I believe something that sets us apart from other medspas and IV providers in the valley is that we don’t view like-minded businesses as competition. We view them as potential partners.

I am most proud that we have become well established within the Ahwatukee area as a luxury service provider and strive for the utmost patient satisfaction. Our patients become like family and remain loyal because of our loyalty to them. We strive to offer the most cutting edge treatments to our patients. We continue educating ourselves on offerings to improve their daily quality of life.
