Community Highlights: Meet Anthony Sanchez of Majic•Musick•Records & Creating Wavez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Sanchez.

Hi Anthony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in my parent’s garage on September 11th, 2019, in Rialto, CA, with only a pen, a pad, and a dream. Since then, I’m coming up on 4years clean & sober. I have established a record label (Majic•Musick•Records) and a media company (Creating Wavez). I am now the administrative assistant to Eric Williamson, the executive producer for Mita, better known as the Marijuana Industry Trade Association. My life has been flipped upside down and turned inside out; on April 5th, 2023, I immersed myself in the equation: the “CA/AZ homeless epidemic.” With plans to develop a permanent solution, starting by raising “1 million dollars in 300 days” to establish a foundation in Tempe, AZ. Giving a temporary transitional home and office allows a person with minimal resources to accomplish “the impossible.” I’ve realized that to become an exceptionally great businessman and entertainer, one must be well versed in it all: business, marketing, sales, and, beyond everything, the ability to make genuine connections with your audience.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Everything about pursuing a successful independent musical career is one of the most challenging obstacles a person can ever choose to take in their life. The past 140 days have been the most difficult times of my career, life, and spiritual journey thus far. On April 5th, 2023, I left a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, 2 story home with a pool and view of the Superstition Mountian in Apache Junction and voluntarily began living out of my car, with a vision of establishing financial freedom through a microphone while staying on beat. “To acquire what you’ve never received, you must aspire to reach higher.” For most people, that’s typically facing what you fear most. On April 5th, 2023, I met my fears head-on and began leaving everything in the hands of God. May he be given all the glory for every aspect of my musical career, highs and lows. With over 18 songs distributed, 115 songs written, and no ending in sight, I look to the horizon with bright eyes as every vision in my life becomes a reality.

Mita is short for (Marijuana Industry Trade Association) which hosts Arizona’s largest cannabis networking event in the state. It is hosted at The Sonder Hotel in Scottsdale, AZ, on the last Wednesday of every month. If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I’ve always been quiet, reserved, and curious about the world. I was raised in San Bernardino, CA, with 3 brothers and 2 sisters in the humble beginnings of a 2 bedroom apartment. I love art! Everything about it, drawing, writing, and expressing myself through colors, pictures, and poems, has always been my favorite pastime. My beloved, hard-working parents are still together, exemplifying old traditional values embedded deep in my personality and family lineage.
