Hi Angie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Angie, and I’m a self-taught Tattoo Artist. I started with tattooing friends and family, and it escalated into an amazing career 5 years later! I am the proud owner of Ink Dreamz Tattoo Studio, located in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles I had to face were starting up and getting everything going! Other than that, I don’t believe it was a struggle; I tend to look at the brighter side of things!

Networking and finding a mentor can positively impact one’s life and career. Any advice?
Finding a mentor that fits your creative style may be challenging; you don’t just want to go into any tattoo shop and look for an apprenticeship; you want to ensure that the person teaching you is knowledgeable and kind! There is nothing worse than a rude mentor! Also, try to find someone that you look up to. Take your portfolio in with your strongest art pieces! Good luck!
