The road to establishing Shade & Blade Brow Boutique has definitely not been smooth. Like any entrepreneurial journey, I faced several challenges along the way.

I had to invest a lot of time and effort into marketing and networking to establish a presence in the beauty industry. There were moments of doubt when I wondered if I would ever gain the traction I needed.

Another challenge was mastering the technical skills and staying updated with industry trends. The beauty industry is always evolving, and keeping up with new techniques and styles required constant learning and adaptation. Balancing ongoing education with running a business was often overwhelming.

Additionally, managing the business side of things, from finances to scheduling, presented its own set of obstacles. There were times when I had to navigate tough decisions and learn from mistakes, which was not always easy but ultimately necessary for growth.

One thing I wish I knew when I was starting out is the importance of building relationships, not just with clients but also with mentors and others in the industry. Networking is incredibly valuable—it helps you grow, stay motivated, and opens up opportunities you might not expect. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance along the way.

Also, be patient with yourself and the process. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and there will be moments of doubt and frustration.
