Check out Tony George ‘s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony George.

Tony, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
My journey started when I was a child. I had always been intrigued in photographs. I would look at photography books every time we went to Barnes and Noble and would constantly think of things I thought would make a great photograph. When I was young I would take pictures on my little flip phone, put them in black and white and show the whole family thinking they were the best photos ever. I got my first point and shoot camera when I was about 14 and loved taking photos with it. I brought it everywhere. Eventually I had enough money to buy my first DSLR the Nikon D40 (which only had 4MP, 1/4 of what the iPhone has today). I began watching hundreds of hours of YouTube videos, buying books, testing, editing etc. I wanted to learn every single aspect of photography I could. I began doing actual photoshoots for friends in 2012. Everyone loved my work and it began to grow. 2016 wasn’t when I shot my first wedding as a 3rd Photographer in the background of my bosses wedding. From those photos I booked 6 weddings in 2017. As of today, I have 20 weddings booked for 2018 and 6 for 2019. By the fall of 2018 I will be a full-time wedding photographer!

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a full time, self-taught wedding and portrait photographer. The main aspect I focus on is capturing candid moments of true emotion to create timeless images. When people see my work, I want them to feel the same emotion as the clients did during the session/wedding. My style is light and airy photos with nice pops of color to emphasize the subject and the happiness they express.

How can artists connect with other artists?
I think the biggest thing that is that you have to be open-minded to others work. You have to find aspects you like instead of saying “I don’t like that” people can close themselves off to work that doesn’t fit their style. Find the good in every piece of art and comment on it, show others that you enjoy their work, that will open a door of trust and friendship.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
