Today we’d like to introduce you to Woody.
Hi Woody, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My trials and tribulations are what made me who I am today. Difficult experiences can shape you in profound ways, providing you with the opportunity to learn, grow, and evolve. That gave me the ability to develop resilience, strength, and wisdom. I’ve taken the life lessons that I have learned over the years and turned them into what I call art. This allows me to connect with others who may be feeling just like me. By sharing my journey, I can offer support and inspiration to those undergoing trials.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing about any of this has been easy for me. My art is how I express myself and use it to say what we don’t want to talk about, so when I release any of my art to the public. I am letting you into the most vulnerable parts of my being; I am letting you know what is bothering me. I believe that my art provides a platform for the exploration and interpretation of emotions, enabling artists and viewers to engage with and understand complex emotional experiences in a profound and meaningful way. I want it to serve as a powerful medium for interpreting and expressing emotions, allowing individuals to convey and interpret complex feelings in a visual or auditory form. Things aren’t getting more manageable, but I am getting used to it. Things may need to be going my way. But think about it. We all survived our most challenging days. I want to be used as a “Beacon of Hope” and always encourage those to try to improve. Always strive to be better than you were the day before.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in emotion. My art resembles my emotions. They are raw, and some can be overbearing. But it is the truth. There are some things that we aren’t yet comfortable talking about. So I chose to do it for you. I have a compelling way of expressing myself through my art. Emotions can be complex and very intense, But art is my medium; I create my art because not only is it therapeutic, but it’s also impactful. It impacts those who know how difficult it can be to express themselves and their emotions through words. It allows me to connect with my viewers and listeners in a profound and meaningful way. Art has the power to open up conversations and shed light on topics that society may find challenging to confront directly. The willingness to express these emotions through your art can help others to engage with and process their own emotions, fostering empathy and understanding in the process. My art is my bridge for all the gaps, as it also promotes emotional healing. Even in my darkest days, I could still create what I consider art. I strongly encourage others to do the same.
Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Step out of your comfort zone. Straight up. That has been the only thing that has worked for me. Do your best and understand that nobody is better than you. We are all human. If you have something to say, Then say it. If your listeners don’t want to listen, then speak into every ear until you find one that listens. We all have our flaws, but our flaws are what make us perfect. You have nothing to be afraid of. Be bold, speak up, and speak out. Communicate with others and build a support channel. Most importantly, believe in yourself.
