Today we’d like to introduce you to Terell Banks.

Hi Terell, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Born In 1983, In York, PA. Eventually Made It Out to the Golden State as a little boy. Father was in the NAVY for 20+ years. Mother was a Hairdresser just as long at the Navy Exchange Beauty Shop on base in Coronado. In CA, I Grew Up First in South San-Diego, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, San Ysidro Areas. Then Made It Up to the Inland Empire Area, Riverside County, Temecula, CA In the Middle Of 7th Grade. Thats where my independent Music Making journey began. Grew up and moved to Mesa, AZ then PHX, AZ and now I go back and forth between there and Palmetto Florida currently at 40 Years young still pursuing my dreams and lifelong passion every day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Anybody in the Music/Entertainment industry, whether indie or mega super star knows it’s one of the ROUGHEST roads to travel on especially if you handle all aspects of the business by yourself. I’ve learned a lot over the past 25+ years about staying consistent and sticking to the plan even when nobody else sees the same vision.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My Stage Name “M$Rsonist” Istarts with an Acronym “M$R” “M-ental $ R-sonist” I Came Up with It Back When I First Started Trying to Produce & Record Music Independently. It Stands For, My Attempt To “Burn” Positive, thought-provoking, motivational and self-reflective Messages into the “Minds” Of My Audience. I’d say I specialize in Music Production for SYNC(TV, Movies, Video Games, Ads etc.) as well as Tracks for underground, independent, raw, unique, eclectic artists that actually have a message as opposed to being a sales pitch for corporate products and services. Thats also what makes me unique. I’m not afraid to use my ART to speak for the Powerless and Voiceless. I create for Humanity, not just for fun, career and Financial Gain.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I’ve learned that many, many people in our world are still dangerously, blindly obedient to so called “Authority” without the slightest bit of logical, critical thinking taking place. This is very unfortunate for the future of the world.
