Hi Samantha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up, my parents, with their emphasis on wholesome ingredients and family meals, instilled in me a deep appreciation for food. This foundation, coupled with my Exercise Science degree from NAU, laid the groundwork for my culinary journey.
After graduation, I embarked on a period of self-discovery, exploring diverse cultures and cuisines during my travels through Europe. This experience broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of the profound impact of food on our well-being. I became increasingly drawn to the concept of ingredient-conscious eating and its role in optimizing health.
Driven by this passion, I began brainstorming ways to combine my love for cooking with my desire to help people nourish their bodies. The result? Faye’s Kitchen. Launched in July 2024 with the unwavering support of my friends and family, my initial vision for a local meal prep service evolved into a more personalized approach.
Today, Faye’s Kitchen offers a unique blend of services: weekly meal prep cooked directly in clients’ homes and a personalized private chef service for intimate gatherings and retreats. I am incredibly grateful for the journey so far and excited to see how Faye’s Kitchen continues to grow and empower individuals to live their healthiest, happiest lives through the power of nourishing food.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One thing I struggled with was the decision to take the risk of pursuing this business venture. I had a position at a stable job that provided benefits, regular pay, etc. and left that for the uncharted waters of entrepreneurship. It has been a lot of trial and error, figuring out what works and what doesn’t and sifting my way through the inner workings of owning a business.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in catering to a wide range of food restrictions and preferences. As someone who has had experience with intense food sensitivities, I understand how hard it can be to find restaurants and food providers who will cater to my needs. I aim to bring my clients meals that they can enjoy and feel comfortable eating. I am most proud of how myself and the business have adapted to clients’ needs. What sets me apart is my ability to provide extremely personalized menus and meal plans by working one-on-one with my clients.

People are always surprised to hear that I came from a manufacturing role into my position as a private chef.
