Hi Sal, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Our Story…The Chill Room, a family business operated by the brothers Vincent and Anthony Cartagine, caters to the growing trend of alcohol alternatives in social settings. Recognizing the shift towards Non-Alcoholic Beverages in popular social spots, particularly in the US, the Chill Room stands out as a sophisticated, alcohol-free destination.

Distinguished from typical alcohol-free bars, The Chill Room offers a range of meticulously crafted Spirit Free Cocktails, Beer and Wine, Healthy Herbal Teas, exhilarating Root and Botanical Beverages, specialty coffees, and a a light-fare food menu. We even have a dedicated Vape, Glass and CBD section for discerning customers who would enjoy those products.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Opening and operating a small business is always a challenge. It requires resources and details to come together to create something worthwhile. The whole Planning and Building process took over two years for the doors to open on October 5th 2023. Early on ​we concentrated on the basics ​to start out but then amazing things started to happen. ​You can never really plan on ​
w​ho comes ​through the door​ and we have met so many amazing people and a unique community space​ has been created through those relationships. Our business and family have been so blessed with the people who have come and supported us as we do our best to serve them. Of course there have been challnges but our business is growing and it’s been incredibly fun along the way and we look forward to the future…

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My personal background is in the real estate industry. I own and operate a residential brokerage firm ​, operate a property management company and I am a State Certified real estate instructor. I am also a professional musician and producer​. My wife Lisa spent her career in the education field as a teacher and administrative professional.

So nothing really prepared us to open up a non-alcoholic Lounge but we found very quickly that we had the necessary skills to create an environment where people could come and have a good time.
Our son Vincent worked In management at Amazon and our other son Anthony works in the wellness industry. We’ve always been a very close family and we have enjoyed working together and using our unique talents and skills necessary to create a thriving business

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important thing I’ve learned is not only is it more fun to work as a team but the results come faster and it’s great to be able to share ​the successes​ along with the challenges
