Check Out Sachiko Tiana’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sachiko Tiana

Hi Sachiko, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve faced my share of challenges throughout my life, but my career story is one of resilience and transformation. From an early age, I found music to be my refuge. It became the outlet for my emotions and the fuel for my dreams. Despite difficult circumstances, I always held onto my love for songwriting and performance, even when it felt impossible to pursue.

As I grew older, I found a way to build stability in my life, professionally and personally. My career took shape, and in 2014, I founded Nuila Events, a successful corporate events company. But something was still missing—my music. I realized that no matter what I accomplished in other areas, my heart was always drawn back to the stage. I took the leap, embracing my passion for music and the vulnerability that came with sharing it.

Through the years, I’ve used my story to inspire others, particularly women entrepreneurs, to overcome their own challenges. My journey has shown me that resilience isn’t just about surviving; it’s about thriving. Today, I’m grateful to speak, perform, and encourage others to step into their greatness, knowing that our passions have the power to guide us even through the darkest times.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Born into instability and raised by drug-addicted parents, I faced loss, neglect, and overwhelming responsibility from a young age. My mother passed away when I was seven, leaving me to care for my younger siblings while trying to navigate school and survival. By nine, I had become the caretaker of our home, managing responsibilities far beyond my years while my father battled addiction. After his passing, I was adopted at 11, but the trauma of my childhood left deep emotional scars. I struggled with disordered eating, toxic relationships, and a profound sense of unworthiness, unsure of how to heal or where to turn. Despite finding stability in my career, I still wrestled with fear and vulnerability, questioning my worth and suppressing my true passion—until I finally reclaimed my music and my voice.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I blend storytelling and music into musical keynote speaking, where I share my journey through both words and song. People know me as the Queen of Self-Love because, despite the chaos and challenges I’ve faced, I’ve fought to cultivate deep, unwavering self-love—something that has carried me through every stage of my life.

What truly sets me apart is my willingness to be completely real and raw. I don’t just present the polished version of success—I share the mess before the masterpiece. I take people into the struggles, the doubts, and the healing process because that’s where true connection happens. My story and my music intertwine to create an experience that’s not just inspiring but deeply personal and relatable. That synergy with my audience is something I cherish, and my goal is always to leave them feeling seen, empowered, and ready to embrace their own journeys with courage and self-love.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Interestingly, COVID came at a really pivotal time for me. I had my son in September 2019 and then moved from Southern California to Arizona in May 2020, right in the middle of lockdown. In a way, the pandemic gave me permission to slow down, step back from the large-scale event work I had been doing, and really focus on being a mom. It also helped me get into better alignment with who I truly am and what I actually want to do—spoiler alert: it’s not creating massive events for other people anymore!

Of course, there were plenty of challenges during that time, but I also found a deep appreciation for the simple moments—going on walks, spending time with my little family, FaceTiming my extended family, and reconnecting with my own dreams and hobbies. That period taught me the value of embracing change and making the best of any situation. It reinforced my “when life gives you lemons” approach, which I carry into everything I do.
