Check Out Richard Miner’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Richard Miner

Hi Richard, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. At 10 years old I began playing bass guitar. At 12 I started playing guitar and writing songs. In 2022 I released my first album, Time Comes For Us All. Other than my solo work, I also play guitar for a band called The Odders.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been rough. Getting noticed in this artistic climate is extremely difficult. I spent many years trying to form a group to my music with until realizing that doing what I wanted to do only required myself and no others. I still love playing with my band, but I am completely free as a solo artist.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I pride myself on doing all of this myself. I’ve had some guidance through friends and other artists, but I recorded, mix, and master all of my music myself. As a person who deals with depression and anxiety, I am happy to have found what I love to do in my art.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
When I was 10 years old all of my friends asked for an Xbox for Christmas. I went against the grain and asked for a bass guitar. Getting that cheap starter bass was the greatest gift I received as a child. Learning the instrument made me the person I am today.
