Hi Richaa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Finance Professional, ACCA affiliate by my profession and most of my life was spent studying, giving exams and completing my internship. Before perusing ACCA, I was doing my CA and almost entire college years went in studying and giving exams, I never got time to explore my hobbies, which otherwise I am have a creative knack beyond books. So as soon I was done with my ACCA exams, I started creating content on food, which later got pivoted to lifestyle and fashion, as I travel due to my office work and love to experiment in my personal fashion styling. I also love being infront of camera, like my dad always say to me, I look like Priyanka Chopra, I never shyed away from being confident in front of camera. That’s how i knew, my calling was. And slowly started creating content along with managing my job and here I am sharing my story with your platform. 🙂 I was fortunate to work as a creator as well as model for many lifestyle and fashion brands, which caved out new pathways and opportunities for me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road was never smooth, being finance professional handling monthly deadlines along with content submission deadlines are very tough days for me, you really need a good team whom you can rely on the content creation end.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Finance professional and work as Finance Analyst with a UK firm. I specialize in month end closing of books of accounts, payroll, preparation of reports & financials and have catered to clients having business in US, UK & India. I am most proud of my work ethic, in both the fields and I believe my experience in both finance and content creation ( as a part of marketing) gives me a leverage in negotiations and networking.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a very underconfident kid growing up, got bullied in my school once and had been called out in my school many times for my looks. I took it as a fuel and made small changes to become the person I am now and transformed my fears to my strength. I have strong interests in Fashion, Cooking and Dance, I have got professionally trained in Dancing for 2 years before I pursued my CA studies. I have developed my personal fashion style, which I feel is budget friendly and yet useful and elegant.
