Check Out Pamela Schuler’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Schuler.

Pamela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Rites of Celebration was born out of my desire to help people celebrate the milestones of their lives. Saying the words “I pronounce you joined in Love and Marriage” (I rarely use the old standard of husband and wife), is my announcement to the world that two individuals have chosen to commit to another person through all the joys and challenges that face couples today.
I love to do ceremony for weddings, handfastings and vow renewals. I have also added more life celebrations including baby naming/blessings and memorials.

To take the time to mindfully set a sacred space to capture important times of our lives is my leading passion.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Thankfully, steady weather in Phoenix rarely interferes with the ceremonies that are largely held outdoors. But the occasional does occur and I always have a backup plan. Escaping the brutal summer heat is always a challenge.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an officiant, the facilitator for weddings, handfastings, and vow renewals. I design personalized ceremonies and deliver them with a heart-felt manner including humor and tears.

With over twenty years of experience and seveal hundred ceremonies under my belt, I bring a calming and warm atmosphere to the important dates of my clients lives.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite memories growing up in rural Nebraska often include my tree. She was hit by a tornado a couple of years before I was born but survived and is still alive 70 years later. She was a great listener and counselor whenever I needed her.
