Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Lozada-Moore.
Hi Pamela, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
My story!
I’m a mom of 3 and a Bonus Mom of 1. I am a wife and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
Busy, Busy!
Some years ago (Kerrie could tell you the exact day, she is so much better at that!) I crossed paths with Kerrie and her son. For a time, I was part of her Dream Team and got to know them both very well. When I made the decision to move my family to Southern California and our professional relationship ended, we decided to put our unified passions to work on another shared cause, and that was building a business with the opportunity to train adults with developmental disabilities vocational skills that would provide the skills to join the workforce and increase independence.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been challenging with living a state away. Kerrie is the talent! I am the apprentice in a lot of ways, as she teaches me skills she has developed far before I stumbled into the business of sublimation, personalization, etc. We make it work in this new Zoom world and with trips back and forth and weekends together to get on the same page. I would say the travel is difficult, but when you are sharing a business with a dear friend, it is really just a wonderful monthly excuse to have a girls’ weekend and continue to build toward something that we both share a very strong passion. The time change! That is always an annual obstacle! “Your time or my time? Oh shoot, I forgot!” is a typical exchange every winter.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Clinical Supervisor at Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) in Cypress, California.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
My Favorite Murder (I love true crime!), and I have an extensive Audiobook library, I listen during my daily commutes, drives to Arizona, and while I’m cooking. I just recently finished James Patterson’s The Guilty.
