Check Out Nita Lachelle’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nita Lachelle. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into the fashion industry began in 2007 while pursuing my undergraduate degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago. During that time, I was a freelance wardrobe stylist, model, and dabbled in backstage fashion show production. From Chicago, I relocated to Atlanta in 2015 where I continued my fashion styling and also launched my luxury intimate apparel line, Lachelle Intimates in 2020. Fast forward to now, I came to Arizona to be closer to family and ended up creating a fashion family of my own. 

I am a part of Designers & Buyers team for Phoenix Fashion Week where we not only put on amazing fashion shows and events but also educate designers and models on the business aspect of the industry also that they are successful in their craft. 

In addition, I am a Buyer for FASHIONPHILE Scottsdale studio and recently became an internationally published model in Revista Brooke magazine based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. As with any other emerging entrepreneur, I’ve experienced doubts and fears but thanks to having an amazing supportive tribe of friends and family I’ve managed to press forward with my aspirations. Even with Phoenix Fashion Week alone, I’ve met some of the most inspiring people who’ve poured into me tremendously and I am forever grateful! 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a woman of many talents! I still do freelance modeling and fashion show production but my heart and soul is in building my brand, Lachelle Intimates, as the leading destination for sensual women who love luxury & desire intimate apparel suitable for the bedroom & beyond. 

I’d say why sets me apart from others is that I’m Renita (Nita). No one else is me and no one else can do what I do the way I do it! That’s what makes us all unique, each of us are one of one – imitated but never duplicated. 

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I feel the most important quality that has attributed to my success is my willingness to learn, take constructive feedback, and not allowing doubt to fester too long. Of course, those thoughts come up and it’s okay to acknowledge them and feel them but not staying there is the key!
