Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgyn Sanders.
Hi Morgyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I truly built my name for myself from the ground up. In 2017 I started my blog known today as Boss Up Girls. I stayed persistent with it and never gave up. In 2021 I started taking my TikTok platform seriously 2021 working with brands I have dreamed of working with. Now I am a current YouTuber that also posts 1/2 times a week all about college/lifestyle content.
If you were to ask me what the most important factor behind my success is I would say my persistence. I never let anyone’s opinions around me define me. I became unstoppable. I never turned my back when someone judged me. I am so thankful I never stopped persisting because the success of my brand has increased tremendously. I am so honored to work with brands like Princess Polly, CaliRay, Dibs Beauty, Albertsons, and Band-Aid along with so many other amazing companies.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a social media influencer is hard work and getting where I am today has caused a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. I went through struggles of people judging me, people saying influencing is not a real job, and saying no to certain jobs. I think there is a lot of stigma behind social media influencers.
No one knows how hard it is unless you’re in the position. Learning how to balance my personal life with a vlog camera in one hand and managing friendships, relationships, and college in the other. If I could tell the world one thing about me and my brand is that I am here to make a difference.
I always as a young girl had so many questions and I started my blog as a women empowerment movement. I wanted to be the voice for others and talk about things that no one else wanted to say. I want this to be the sign for pursuing business owners or social media influencers this is your shot to do amazing things. We’re all here for a reason let’s fix each other’s crowns!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
From the moment I started my social media career I hit the ground running. I knew that it would take hard work and this path is not meant for everyone. Being a full-time college student managing my personal life and my career is hard, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I feel like my fiery personality and passion for social media makes me stand out. I love to work hard and I am so thankful for the path I am on.
I am most proud of the content I create. I always put 110% into everything I do. I am also proud of the amazing companies I have looked up to such as Albertsons, Princess Polly, Cali Ray, Dibs Beauty and so much more. I take pride in my work, learning and promoting other brands especially women-owned, and plan to continue doing this for the rest of my life! Most people know me as the “influencer girl” and I am okay with that!
I constantly have a camera strapped to me looking for what is next for me to share with my followers. I think what sets me apart from others is at such a young age, I continue to grow and grow. I want to learn more about the social media space and I am hungry for the business side of the world.
We all have different ways of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Defining success is actually quite simple to me. When you work hard, hard work pays off. I have always craved to be a successful businesswoman. Having my own company, paying my own bills, and most of all feeling like what I do can help others around me. Figuring out what you want and life and never stopping until you get there is what I call success!
