Check Out Melinda Jurecki’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melinda Jurecki.

Hi Melinda, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
when I was a young girl, I always enjoyed playing with my dolls hair. I would often get upset when I would cut my Barbie dolls hair and it wouldn’t grow back. Growing up my parents always said I would become a hairstylist and as soon as I could, I started doing my twin brother‘s hair as well as my mom and dad. I grew up in Chicago and moved to Scottsdale Arizona at the age of 16. Upon graduating high school I started beauty school at Scott Cole Academy in Scottsdale. It was a Paul Mitchell school. I started in 2001 and graduated in 2002 upon graduating. I worked for Elizabeth Arden red door, Salon and spot at the Biltmore for 8 1/half years. I trained and assisted there for an extra year before becoming a stylist behind the chair. I spent 8 1/2 years with that company until I then moved my family to surprise Arizona and started a life in the West Valley. I started working for a smaller family owned Aveda concept salon, which I really enjoyed but after about 3 1/2 years, I decided it was time for me to have a little bit more flexibility with my schedule and found a nice salon down the road that I was able to rent my chair and become my own boss. I stayed there for about four years and thought the privacy of my own studio suite would be nice. I have been in my own studio for nearly 10 years now.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggles were real when I first started in my career building a clientele took a lot of hard work, dedication time and patience. But as the years went by, My Business started to grow.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
