Check Out Melinda DeVine’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melinda DeVine.

Hi Melinda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?

Thank you for the opportunity to share a little bit about myself here on Voyage Phoenix! While I know most of us know an abundance of licensed  Realtors in our community & beyond – it’s a busy and full field of professionals for sure. I like to differentiate myself a bit by not only my experience in different geographical areas but also during a variety of real estate markets and trends. I have seen the ups & the downs both over the years.I began in the real estate industry in 2002 in Washington state with Coldwell Banker, Barbara Sue Seal.

Later moving to Central Oregon in 2004 where I worked as a transaction coordinator in new construction for Coldwell Banker Morris, the Garner Group. Next, I hung my license as a Broker at John L. Scott in Bend, Oregon as a residential salesperson.

I was on the board of the Central Oregon Women’s Council of Realtors in 2018. As well as on the board of the Network of Entrepreneurial Women/Connect W in 2017.

I moved to Scottsdale 2.5 years ago and obtained my Associate Brokers License and hung my license at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty at the Camelback Tower office. I specialize in the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Arcadia & Biltmore areas.

I am also a certified Home Stager and LOVE the design piece of real estate. I am especially drawn to the architecturally interesting homes in the areas I work in Quintessential Scottsdale/Phoenix, I like to call it!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is a LOT to learn in the real estate industry and it takes years to build a strong & thriving business. You really have to settle in and not get discouraged.

I have learned so very much along the way! There can be a lot of disappointment when deals fall apart or parties rescind, etc. But all in all, it’s a very vibrant and exciting industry!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in collaboration — working well with others to all reach our common goal. And I love interesting architecture, amazing outdoor living spaces, and beautiful design.

I am known for being responsive, detailed, and attentive. I like to think of myself as caring and truly invested in the outcome for my clients and everyone involved in the transaction.

I am most proud of the relationships I build with my clients… most of them become and remain good friends of mine.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
My mom always said I was “born lucky” but honestly, I think luck is just a tiny piece of someone’s success. While I was so lucky to be raised by amazing parents and given many opportunities along the way.

I feel like most of what I have achieved was through my own hard work, dedication, and personal drive.
