Check Out Meghann Jacobs’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meghann Jacobs

Hi Meghann, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My work of empowering women to reclaim the wisdom of their bodies initially began as an attempt to share the practices I had used to get myself through the darkest times of my life. Mine is the classic story of the Wounded Healer who found her light through the darkness, and subsequently dedicated her life to creating opportunities for others to do the same.

The transformative spaces I offer women today began back in the Spring of 2021 when I began offering Women’s Circles to friends and family online. Back in the early days of navigating life as a new mom, it was collective spaces with other mothers that taught me how courageous vulnerability was the first step to reconnecting to my inner light.

It’s in the reflection of our own humanness, as we are safely held and witnessed by others, that we learn to fully embrace and love ourselves, in all of our messiness. The need for connection, the need to be embraced by other humans and simultaneously remember our own unique nature is everything! The healing rituals I offer women through collective and private ceremonies are doorways back to themselves. To their power. To their own center.

It’s amazing to recall how I got to this point, honestly. Had you asked me even 10 years ago, when I stumbled into my first women’s support group, if I could see myself gathering women for New Moon Circles, holding transformative Yoni Awakening workshops, or taking women through private Womb Healing Ceremonies, I would have had no idea what you were talking about.

However, that’s the mystery we all dance within. Looking back at my journey now, it all makes perfect sense.

Despite being a pretty free spirit as a child, my teenage years were fraught with anxiety and isolation as I quietly battled a seemingly invisible autoimmune disease that directly affected my reproductive organs. It made for a long journey of self discovery, which ultimately taught me how to look to my body for healing.

Along with nutrition, the oldest self healing modality I still use in my practice today is yoga. I was 19 when my mom and I attended our first class while going to college together my sophomore year, a memory of my late mother that I hold very dear.

In fact, it’s my mom’s journey through two separate bouts of breast cancer, intertwined with my own healing journey, that propels me through the most challenging times of entrepreneurship and motherhood.

Women are highly misunderstood, and the root of our health issues-increasing at alarming rates- are significantly overlooked.

It’s my mission, and that of all Sonora Sol’s offerings, to awaken women with a remembrance of the wisdom and power they possess as the Creatrixes of all human life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hardly! In the 4 years that I have been creating my own services and healing spaces for women, I’ve encountered numerous personal challenges.

Navigating divorce, raising two extra spirited children who don’t fit the typical mold of traditional school – losing my mother to cancer. All of these have made learning the ropes of early entrepreneurship extra challenging.

But, I have never been one to back down from a challenge! In fact, learning to dance with whatever the Universe throws my way has actually helped me to actualize my dreams in ways I could have never imagined.

It’s taken me a while to learn what to look for and how to read the signs. Yet, as my spiritual practice has evolved over the years, I have learned that the challenges I face are simply indications of readiness for new levels of growth. I know my Creator would never throw anything my way that I wasn’t yet ready for.

I’ve learned to recognize that with each new level of growth I call in, another level of challenge is yet to appear. It’s in my openness, gratitude and connection I stay grounded with that helps me to persevere, thus gifting me more than I could ever ask for.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a Feminine Embodiment Mentor, Cyclical Living Educator, Womb Healer and Ritual Facilitator, I create collective and private spaces for women to come back home to the innate wisdom of their bodies.

Through lunar rituals that align with the energies of the Moon, embodiment practices to soften into the subtleties of feminine strength, and practical strategies for incorporating nutrition and nervous system regulation, I assist women in discovering new depths of their inner world.

Most women find me through Moon Circles, sensual movement classes and embodiment workshops at local studios and healing collectives, like Synergy Mind Body Spirit, our newest healing collective in Flagstaff, AZ.

They come to reconnect. To themselves, To nature. To their body and to other women.

What women find in my circles is safety, support, and a sacred container of belonging. By calling upon our ancestors to teach us the ancient ways of connection and inner guidance, I provide an experience that is deeply nourishing to the heart and soul, something that women are hungry for.

What they take away is a deep remembrance of something familiar, yet forgotten.

I think what sets me apart from other practitioners in the embodiment space is the way I intricately weave the practical and the magical.

As a neurodivergent, female entrepreneur, homeschooling mother of two, with a background in Montessori education, I not only offer a safe and nurturing space to soften and feel held. I also come to the ritual space with deep intention on integrating ritual practices into the day to day.

Our transformational experiences are fleeting if we don’t have to the tools to integrate our discovery into our daily lives.

I offer my clients tools and strategies to tap into the mind blowing remembrance of their feminine power on a routine basis, so they can live the empowered lives of their dreams.

Additionally, as someone who learned to navigate the medical world at a young age, and turned to holistic healing practices for self-healing, I offer a uniquely complimentary advantage to women in my private healing mentorship.

Women in my care get the best of both worlds, receiving the nurturing and healing they need to rediscover a loving relationship with a body that may been deemed “dysfunctional” if they are suffering reproductive health concerns or are dealing with trauma. Along with nutritional support for optimal hormone function, self regulation tools and lifestyle practices to reset their nervous system and awaken the Goddess within. It’s a package deal that women rarely find alone in their therapist, OBGYN or their reiki practitioner.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Ooooh, I love this question. I definitely consider myself a risk taker, and I’m very proud of it, Lol. Taking risks is an integral part of living the life of your dreams, something I am madly in pursuit of not only for myself, but for my children as well. I want my children to know the value in going all out for something you believe in, no matter what challenges you face along the way.

Beginning Sonora Sol Embodied Living is a perfect example of me taking a huge risk, and never looking back on past choices as possible mistakes. When I was ready to leave the teaching world in pursuit of empowering women I leapt in with both feet!

Sure, not knowing a thing about business in the beginning made for a very difficult path to success. But, we’re the only ones who get to determine our own version of success anyway.

I’m here for adventure. I’m here for fulfilling my purpose. And I’m definitely here for rolling alongside my fears rather than letting them take the driver’s seat and lead me down a long dull road that never reaches my dreams.
