Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariana Lozovanu
Mariana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Mariana Lozovanu – the president of the Moldovan Community in Arizona (CMA), a woman with two books published on Amazon, the Senior Marketing and Communications specialist at the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences at Arizona State University, a real estate agent, as well as a mother and wife, is a woman who never forgets her homeland and does everything possible to help the people from there.
“I believe I am a complicated person. I’m full of thoughts and always feel like I need to do more for people, to leave something beautiful behind, and I always think of everyone, to help them feel better. My husband calls me Mother Teresa because I want to help everyone. I am a faithful person, and when I give, it’s because I feel gratitude for my life and everything God provides.”
Childhood
Mariana was a very active child, gathering people around her from an early age and organizing various entertainment activities for the children in her neighborhood. She had leadership qualities even as a young child. Ponds, hills, fruits, trees, and the neighborhood were all part of her happy childhood. From her mother, she learned to be a homemaker and take care of her family, and from her father, she learned to do things with quality and be punctual.
She moved to America in 2010 because her husband won the Green Card lottery. She likes where she is and what she does. She feels fulfilled alongside her two children and her husband and always strives to help as many people as possible.
“I try to live by values like humility and charity. I’m deeply inspired by the lives of saints because they needed so few material things to be happy.”
Driven by her own desire to help people and her strong sense of empathy, Mariana and the CMA team created the “Care for Moldova” humanitarian campaign in 2021, which supports socially vulnerable families during the holidays with food and hygiene products. The responsiveness and enthusiasm of those who donated exceeded Mariana’s expectations, and she realized that people trust the humanitarian campaign and support this initiative.
“I believe I have the power to inspire people, to encourage them to find their purpose, based on the talents or qualities they possess.”
For example, I told a friend that she should be a hairdresser because she has soft hands and, if she enjoys this field, she should develop in it. Today, that girl is a successful person in Arizona and has opened her own salon.
“Anyone living in the U.S. can publish a book on Amazon. It just has to meet certain rules, mostly spelling.”
About the publications on Amazon
The first book is called Victoria’s Alphabet. It’s a book for her daughter, where under each letter, there is a poem. On the book’s cover, at the end, she wrote a message for parents: to savor every moment with their child and, when they want to do certain activities, to stop everything and play with them, because time passes too quickly and they grow up, and these moments remain in their hearts.
The second book is The Faithful Realtor: Nothing is Impossible with God. The purpose of this book is to give people hope that anything is possible if you believe in God. The book talks about the challenges of a real estate agent, the tough moments that Mariana overcame with her faith in God. It is a summary of her journey as a real estate agent and a reflection on her career in this field, from the first steps, disappointments, challenges, and hardships to success, achievements, and results. Mariana describes how faith in God was her main support in not giving up on this challenging path.
Through her way of being, Mariana has changed the lives of many people because she is an empathetic being, feels the pain of those around her, and believes that we are all interconnected and that everyone should be well. A word, a recommendation, a hug, a thought, a warm coat for someone who is cold, a bag of food for someone who doesn’t have money — these things make Mariana feel fulfilled without expecting anything in return.
Through her energy, Mariana brings together people who feel and think in the same direction.
“The fact that I’m doing this interview, my goal is that maybe a word or phrase from what I’ve said will help someone at the right moment.”
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I immigrated to the USA 14 years ago, I faced significant challenges adjusting to a new life and career. Navigating the real estate market just three years after arriving was particularly daunting. There were moments of doubt, frustration, and a struggle to keep my faith strong. However, through each challenge, I walked with God, knowing He would never leave me. The Bible became my source of strength, and with His guidance, I persevered. My journey in real estate was not just about business but about staying faithful and trusting that success would come in His time. Today, I celebrate those who trusted me as their realtor, and I am forever grateful for the path that brought me here.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
