Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Jensen.

Hi Lindsey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey two and a half years ago when I came up with the idea of retrofitting a small camper into a mobile salon.

That one was pretty successful, and I could not accommodate all the clientele. I hired Stephanie, my partner in crime, almost two years ago, and since then, we have started a second trailer, which is a toy hauler that can accommodate two clients at a time and seat many more!

It also has a drop-down back door to accommodate wheelchairs and disabled clients as we venture to 55+ communities on a monthly basis, in addition to assisted living facilities.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Struggles have included mechanical issues such as water pumps failing, generators failing, limited water, and of course the excessive heat.

We unfortunately have to run a very loud generator to accommodate several air conditioning units at one time. Needless to say, I have become well-versed in a lot of different trades that come with an unscripted business.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As hair stylists, we are artists!

We love to create new and trending hairstyles! We’re always up for a challenge and love creating new relationships with our clients who ultimately become out friends. The term “rewarding” is an understatement.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Starting an entire business from scratch is a risk in itself. I have put my house on the line and am slowly creeping out of debt from many of the mechanical issues that have sprung onto us. Truck repairs, new tires on trucks and trailers, maintenance on trailers and generators.

Investing in bigger and better air conditioners, which means bigger generators. It’s been a feat, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel! We added Melissa to our team in January 2024, and she is a superstar in the wedding, prom, and Quinceanera events. Our driver, John, has been a godsend as well. We couldn’t do this without them.
