Today we’d like to introduce you to Keely Post.
Hi Keely, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always loved making food. For years, I baked cakes on the side for friends and family—until having twins turned our world upside down! My professional background, though, was in the corporate world. I spent nearly two decades working my way up, building strong teams, and learning what it means to lead effectively.
Then, some sudden changes made me step back and really reflect. I started questioning how much control I wanted someone else to have over my future and career. That pause led me to realize it was time for a shift. When the opportunity to franchise with Xoxo Charcuterie came along, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
It was a huge leap—both terrifying and freeing—to know that my success or failure would now rest largely in my own hands. Owning a small business has brought a completely different kind of balance. In some ways, I’m busier than ever, but I also have the flexibility to be there for my kids and their activities, which means everything to me.
Xoxo Charcuterie Mesa was born out of a desire for change and a love for creating something meaningful. For me, it’s about more than just beautiful boards—it’s about bringing people together, sparking joy through food, and knowing that, in some small way, what we create helps others connect and celebrate.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Is anything ever really a smooth road? There are always challenges along the way! Transitioning from a corporate career in manufacturing to building charcuterie boards was definitely a big change—and it came with its fair share of struggles. But honestly, those struggles are what help us learn and grow. If everything felt easy, I’d probably assume I was missing something!
There hasn’t been one single major obstacle, but rather a series of smaller challenges that come with starting and running a business. Things like figuring out permits, licenses, taxes, payroll, and insurance—all just to get the doors open. Then, once you’re operating, the challenges shift to things like inventory and reorder points (and yes, I’ve definitely run out of things before!).
Another big learning curve has been marketing—figuring out how to get people to know we exist! It’s been a lot of trial and error, testing what works best in our community and how to connect with customers in a genuine way. From social media to word of mouth, it’s been fun to see what really resonates and helps people discover us.
Each bump in the road has been a lesson, and I’ve learned to appreciate the process just as much as the progress.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Xoxo Charcuterie Mesa, we specialize in creating beautiful, handcrafted charcuterie boards and grazing tables that bring people together. Every board is thoughtfully designed—filled with a mix of artisan cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, and little touches that make each one feel special. I like to think we’re known for combining that “wow” factor with high-quality ingredients and a personal touch.
What I’m most proud of is how much joy our boards bring to people. Whether it’s a small date-night box or a big event spread, knowing that what we create helps make someone’s celebration more memorable means everything. It’s truly an honor to even have the change to create beautiful delicious food for people.
What sets us apart is the care and intention behind each order. We don’t just assemble food; we craft an experience. Every board is made with love, and we truly want people to feel that. I think that warmth and attention to detail come through—and that’s what keeps our customers coming back and sharing us with their friends.
What are your plans for the future?
Right now, our focus is on continuing to create amazing food and strengthening our place in the Valley as the go-to spot for charcuterie boards and grazing tables. We’re really proud of the quality and creativity we bring to each order, and for now, that’s where our energy is going—to keep doing what we do best and doing it really well.
Looking ahead, we’re exploring the possibility of adding wine or champagne pairings to our offerings, so customers can create a complete gift or celebration package. It’s something we’re excited about and think would complement our boards perfectly!
