Today we’d like to introduce you to Kamil Jones.

Hi Kamil, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My father was a DJ. He always would sneak and play Tupac or biggie for me when my mom wasn’t around. I developed an obsession with hip-hop and culture.

I was reading and 12th-grade reading levels in elementary. That made it easier for me to write lyrics and develop stories in music. Eventually, after years of sharpening my skills, I began to educate myself on the business side of music so I can achieve more. And get my influence out.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t. The almighty quest for the dollar has caused me to lose hope in my dreams.

I’ve found myself in positions where I struggled to keep music a priority because I was so busy trying to keep my head above water. My solution? Music. It’s always been the answer. When I stopped giving resistance I found more good things happening

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a recording artist, sound engineer, and philanthropist. I specialize in making quality music. It’s not perfect every time as far as the content. But as emotions fluctuate so does my content. I believe to house a plethora of attributes that help me stand apart.

My delivery, my content, my flow, my beat selection, and my lyricism. Also, I do feel I’ve put in a lot of work. I’ve seen how easy it is for people to give up when there is no instant gratification. I’m down for the long ride.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Persistence. I never want to stop growing in this career field. I will never stop putting myself in a position to achieve.
