Check Out Jeni Crawford’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeni Crawford.

Hi Jeni, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have been working in this industry for over 15 years – working for a few local wrap companies in Arizona and Colorado – and learning the industry from front to back. What started out as some side design work at the beginning of 2018, ultimately turned in to a full blown wrap company by the end of March 2018.

My partner and I started Trifecta Graphics as a go-to wrap company for Design, Print & Installation (our “trifecta”) of large format graphics. As well as owner, I am also the designer, and have a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design & Multimedia from the University of Dubuque, IA. We believe our stellar customer service, experience and industry knowledge hold us one step above the rest.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ownership is never a smooth road! There are all kinds of things that can go wrong in making a job come out as intended and it can be a really bumpy road. Creating sales and hiring can be some struggles and have been at points thorughout the last couple of years. I think one of the biggest struggles we face (and is a current issue) though is lack of access to vinyl. We, like many industries, have struggled recently in getting ahold of vinyl materials that we have been using for years. The snowball effect has been pretty crazy, sometimes reaching out several times a day to see if materials are showing up to get ahold of.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Our specialties are fully designed, commercial & fleet wraps and full color changes for personal vehicles. We also do murals, storefronts, signs, banners and so much more. We are a full custom design/print and install company for any vinyl applications. Also, because I have the design background, we can be very custom with our work. My first real graphics job in the industry was for a wrap company who took a chance on me with no experience.

I learned everything about the industry – not just design. I was running large format printers, learning to install vinyl to become a better designer for the team, and doing production work on all of it. Over the first 10years that I was creating for other companies, I entered wrap design contests and got several 1st, 2nd, 3rd place finishes for design, along with Best of Show and Honorable mentions.

The two leaders of my install crew have over 15 years of experience each.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
It makes me happy to see a client see their finished product for the first time. Most people just can’t envision their project at full size (since we work off screens and emails until they see the finished product). Also, we love to create a first wrap for a client and get a call maybe a month later because they bought another vehicle – because they are growing – because of the exposure of the first wrap. It’s a beautiful cycle and I love to have those conversations with my clients. 🙂
