Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Herrera.

Jacqueline, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started off as an esthetician in San Diego, where I had my own little clinic and saw many clients before the covid hit. Soon after that I was out of work (just like everyone else) and decided to take that time to travel and spend time with my family and continued to see clients virtually.

Now that things are starting to get back to normal, my husband and I made the decision to relocate to Scottsdale and I work as a medical esthetician at North Scottsdale Med Spa! I still take my virtual clients on Mondays for anyone who does not live in the Scottsdale area!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The obstacles I have faced honestly have been relocating, you can have the best reviews, and give the best service, but how an esthetician builds his/her business is through word of mouth. Not being as connected here in Scottsdale as I was in San Diego is definitely a challenge, but I am continuing to put my best foot forward and slowly build and build, just like any business!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a medical esthetician and certified health coach! I specialize in customized and relaxing facials and help clients with all different skin types and health concerns.

What sets me apart from others is my love for facial and body massage during a facial, my extensive knowledge of health and wellness, being able to see virtual clients, and having full transparency with my clients since I myself have suffered from terrible skin.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I personally define success as being able to do what you love with all your heart, and also being able to give back in some way. My work is all about making people feel good in their skin and when I do that, the amount of joy I feel is bliss. I don’t think they’re better successful than that!
