Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacinda Ladouceur.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was a full time mom going to school and work with my little boy.
I went to school for PSW worked long hours for about 3 years. I then decided I wanted to spend more time with my family and work for myself. So I then went to school for buisness and to become a esthtican. I start draw when I was young always loved tattoos my parents were always full of them and my dad was once a tattoo artist.
I started practicing tattooing on friends and family. I then started out of my step dad’s bedroom slowly practicing. Then I met my husband and moved and started working out of my mother in laws extra bedroom where I opened tapout tattoos . I stayed there for a year. Saving every single dollar and building my cliental in tattoos and esthtican services. I then turned my old barn into a beautiful loft . After countless days, hours, and money i finally made it . My shop was officially open. I now have 3 beautiful children and work with their scedule and the best part my shop is at my home so no commute. I have been open for 4 years going on 5 . I have over 250 clients
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggle was making sure I was investing into something that would be successful. Also knowing I was about to have the obstacle of online and public backlash if someone didn’t like me. It’s a cut throat industry. I have definitely learned not to care what people think and if they dont like my work or me that’s completely fine
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do pretty well every style of tattooing except realism and portraits I haven’t mastered that just yet.
I love traditional and bright colour. Floral and unique pieces
I also specialize in hair extensions and nails and eyebrow and eyelash tinting along with facials and massages
What were you like growing up?
I was a wild child. Never listened, always looking for trouble. I was going down the wrong roads up until I had my first born who is now 8 years old. Once he came along my whole world shifted.
I honestly started my buisness because I wanted the community to be able to get good work for fair prices. I am the queen of deals I absolutely love giving people fair and good prices so they can have something for them without breaking the bank
Pricing:
- I do not charge by hour
- I charge by piece
- I always have big flash sales
