Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabby Canario.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started? 
My landing in this career was actually an accident. While attending school to be a nurse in 2014, I took a Photography 101 elective class. I loved it so much I decided to be a photographer as soon as the class was over. While I had no idea what I was doing, I never gave up and continued to study until I was confident that I could give people amazing images. The rest is history after that! 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It wasn’t always a smooth road. I remember just starting and photographing my first wedding photos for $75. Editing images takes a lot of time, so I was working for pennies per hour. I had to invest in my skills, constantly learn new things, and keep up with the technological advances. After learning all of that and being great at my craft, I added the last piece of the puzzle: Experience. When I created a unique experience for my clients that put them first, that is when it started to take off. Excellent customer service is the most important thing in my business. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in capturing unique and transformative portrait sessions that go beyond traditional photography. I am known for creating a custom glam experience that focuses on boosting self-confidence and helping people see themselves in a new light. 

What I am most proud of is my experience working with hundreds of people. Over the years, I have honed my expertise in guiding my clients through a portrait session that truly transforms the way they see themselves. Seeing the transformations in how people see themselves after our sessions is truly heartwarming! 

Now, what makes me stand out? Well, picture this: a stress-free experience from start to finish. You won’t need to worry about finding a makeup/hair stylist—I’ve got that covered. No need to memorize poses or stress about looking awkward because, hey, I’m the expert at that! Plus, you’ll never end up with photos you don’t love because you get to choose only the ones that make you feel amazing. 

And guess what? Immediate image reveal! Yep, right after our session, you get to pick your absolute favorites. Then, I retouch the images like a magazine cover. I work some magic during the shoot, and each image gets that magazine cover treatment. 

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
That I used to photograph weddings! I actually did it for a few years and just finished my last one in 2022!
