Check Out Evgeniia Darland’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evgeniia Darland.

Hi Evgeniia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I was born in Russia (Siberia) Always was into art and especially sketching. All my free time was going towards that. I went to college for architecture and finished it in 2009. unfortunately, at that time, it was a huge economic crisis, so that I couldn’t find an architectural job. I started tattooing not long after that, just practicing with my friends not safe 😅 but I started slowly and was getting better got my first apprenticeship at a tattoo shop in my town. I had a few sharp turns in life and completely moved on from my tattoo career. A few years after I moved to the US and got a second apprenticeship, things worked much more smoothly and fast for me in the United States.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The most challenging part of getting your art out there is making it unique and sellable at the same time. My style and vision were not appealing to most people at first.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m tattooing my art. I do not do tattoo styles draw what people request, so they get the interpretation of their idea in my style. I do not consider myself a tattooer or tattoo artist; I’m an artist tattooing is just the best way to sell art so far.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Don’t be a tattoo shop walking research and find a perfect artist for you!
