Check out Erik Moller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erik Moller.

Erik, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I am a professional videographer and photographer. I started about eight years ago on after effects and a GoPro. I had no real understanding of the impact I would make on the community. Throughout the years I become more serious and dropped out of university to pursue my dream! I worked for a year to earn the money I needed to purchase all my gear, and then I quit my job to follow my dreams! I have been a fulltime filmmaker for the past 1.5 years and now. My goal now is to help thousands of young filmmakers and photographers grow their own personal businesses and become the best creative artist they can be. I love to motivate the community and help everyone in their own ways!

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My art is to create truly stunning visuals through video. By using storytelling, and my knowledge of filmmaking I am now able to move people in a way I never thought possible. Through social platforms like Instagram and in-person connections, I have been able to motivate and help young filmmakers follow in my footsteps and make amazing content. I started because of a passion which turned into a deep desire and then I was lucky enough to turn it into my fulltime job! The message I want to help thousands of people realize is that they need to follow their dreams. Don’t ever let that fire die inside your soul. When you let go of those goals and dreams you let go of more than just a hobby, you let go of that drive and unconditional happiness that can only be brought by doing something you love. You also lose the ability to create a truly significant life that motivates and helps others to live their lives to the fullest!

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
The biggest challenge that artists face in my industry is lack of knowledge. Photographers and videographers love what they do, but they tend to struggle with the business aspect of things, and it ends up struggling to balance work and play. I hope that in the coming years I’m able to help build a community of content creators that love what they do and can get paid properly for it!

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
On Instagram, youtube and in person. I just recently started hosting workshops to start teaching, and I love that in-person aspect to what I do!
