Today we’d like to introduce you to Earl Alexander.
Hi Earl , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been a mix of intention, reinvention, and elevation. I spent over a decade as a web developer, mastering the backend of tech while slowly realizing I was meant for the front-facing impact. Around three years ago, I transitioned fully back into entertainment—hosting events, building platforms, and producing content that bridges spirituality, business, and creativity.
I founded Black Sage LLC as a marketing concierge and consulting firm rooted in strategy, storytelling, and real-world results. In business, I use what I call the 5D Strategy—Direction, Design, Develop, Deliver, and Dominate. It’s a full-spectrum approach that helps entrepreneurs move beyond just looking good and start building empires with purpose, clarity, and structure.
Through my show Elevate w/ EarlAlex, I aim to amplify voices, explore complex ideas, and spark elevation through conversation. Whether I’m curating live experiences, creating digital content, or mentoring rising leaders, the goal is always to help people think deeper and move smarter.
What got me here is simple: I live by frameworks I created for myself. I call them The 5 Ceptions, The 5 I’s, The 5 Realities, and The 5 Revelations. These aren’t just concepts—they’re survival tools that became spiritual technology. They helped me process my identity, navigate pain, and redefine success beyond society’s defaults.
Today, everything I do is centered on one mission: helping people move from survival to sovereignty. Whether I’m speaking, teaching, producing, or consulting—I’m building systems that free people and guide them to elevate on every level. That’s what drives me. That’s why I’m here.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I think people see the creative output, the events, the platforms—but they don’t always see the internal battles or the emotional costs behind the scenes. I’ve struggled with everything from financial instability to betrayal by people I trusted, and navigating that while still trying to lead, create, and elevate others is not easy.
One of the biggest challenges has been timing. I often had the vision before the world—or even the people closest to me—were ready to understand it. That taught me one of my core revelations: “Sometimes they’re not ready until IT is ready.” I had to learn patience, to stop over-explaining, and to just build until it spoke for itself.
On a personal level, I’ve had to confront my mental health, how I process relationships, and how to accept that not everyone is meant to go where I’m going. There were moments where I felt like giving up—not because I lacked talent, but because I was tired of being misunderstood.
But all of it refined me. Every loss, delay, and heartbreak made the frameworks I teach today more real. I live what I share. And I wouldn’t trade the lessons for a smoother road—because the path carved out who I am.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear a few hats—entrepreneur, content creator, educator, and strategist—but what I really do is help people and brands align with their purpose and elevate how they show up in the world. Through Black Sage LLC, I offer consulting and marketing services using my 5D Strategy—Direction, Design, Develop, Deliver, and Dominate—to help businesses grow with clarity and intention. I also produce content and help others create theirs—whether it’s podcast development, branding visuals, or full-scale media production.
I’m known for being a builder. I don’t just create content or consult—I create frameworks. Things like The 5 Ceptions, The 5 I’s, The 5 Realities, and The 5 Revelations are blueprints people can apply to their lives and businesses to find clarity, direction, and sovereignty. I use these in my Elevation Academy curriculum to guide others on their own journey of becoming.
What sets me apart is how I blend spirituality, strategy, and storytelling. I’m not here just to motivate—I help people break down complex systems and rebuild from the inside out. My work is rooted in real experience, not theory. Everything I share, I’ve lived. Everything I teach, I’ve tested.
What I’m most proud of isn’t a single project—it’s that I’ve stayed authentic. Even through pressure, doubt, and survival-mode seasons, I’ve remained rooted in my values, in my frameworks, and in the belief that elevation is a daily choice. And I’ve watched people transform just from applying what I’ve shared with them. That’s the most rewarding part of it all.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Absolutely. I’ve never done this alone. There have been people throughout my journey who played major roles—some through direct collaboration, others through inspiration, mentorship, or simply believing in the vision before it was fully formed.
Boris Shakarov, owner of Fabulous Cuts (fabulouscuts.shop), has been a consistent supporter and an example of what it means to build with purpose and longevity. His approach to community-centered business has inspired me to stay grounded in service and excellence.
Reuben Anderson, founder of SongLab Live (songlablive.com), has been instrumental in expanding my creative reach. His support in production and content creation has helped shape meaningful platforms that elevate real artistry and authentic storytelling.
Wayne Gaskins, owner of Event Specialty Partners (eventspecialtypartners.net), brought structure and excellence to event production. What makes Wayne special is not just his strategic mind, but his unwavering faith and resilience. Even while battling health issues, he’s stayed in the game, stayed focused, and continued to deliver at a high level. His strength and commitment to his purpose are a constant reminder of what endurance truly looks like.
Nikki Voice, founder of Advocates for Creative Entertainment (a4cegroup.com), has been a rock of support and clarity. Her work in talent advocacy and creative empowerment helped me navigate the entertainment space with accountability and strategic insight.
Bobbie Denims has shown up with intelligence, grace, and compassion—always reminding me that kindness and accountability are not opposites but partners. Both she and Nikki have reinforced the idea that excellence starts with how we treat people, including ourselves.
Special shoutout to Jazmine Ky’arre, owner of Ky’ Kneads, for being a genuine friend and supporter. She’s held space for me through pivotal moments, reminding me that progress doesn’t have to come at the cost of peace.
Gina Ruggiero, a partially disabled veteran and the founder of Creative Drill Sergeants (creativedrillsergeants.org), has also been a force of nature. Despite her own health battles, she continues to empower fellow veterans through creative arts and production training. Watching her lead with courage, compassion, and relentless dedication has been deeply inspiring.
And deep gratitude to Dr. Pamela Vaden, whose work (appointments: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/appointments/schedules/AcZssZ29p7kV0iy55b_yN88QXWl_-oH-38a445InBaDNxWfRv2cPdFa-mjmfxYt6iB0hP11pBCKrGGZi) helped me embrace the lighter side of life. Her guidance in spiritual growth, commitment to purpose, and authenticity has helped me deepen my understanding of joy, balance, and inner truth.
Last, but never least, my parents—Dr. Rodney and Trenna Pearson—founders of RodTree West Behavioral Health and Wellness (rodtreewest.com) and Brothers United Against Domestic Violence. They laid the blueprint. Their work in behavioral health, advocacy, and healing inspired me to build not just businesses, but movements rooted in purpose.
So while my name may be on the brand, every step I’ve taken has been supported by a village. The elevation has always been collective.
