Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny & Gia Allen.

Hi Danny & Gia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
No Tilt Poker Tables started out simply from my passion for poker and want to have a poker table my friends and family would envy and enjoy playing on! My passion for poker started in early childhood when I would play with my father and brothers for pennies, nickels, and the occasional quarter.

Over the years, poker became more than a card game to me and the fundamentals of the game are what really drew me in. Having to read body language, watch the checks and bets, hit the flop, chase down that river, and of course the thrill of winning!

We would have friends over to play out in the garage and I am the type of person that likes to have a great presentation. It’s safe to say a regular foldout card table wasn’t going to cut it.

I ventured out looking for a great quality, affordable poker table and came up empty-handed. Either they weren’t good enough or they were too darn expensive and we had a fresh mouth to feed with my son Cooper’s arrival!

Little did I know I had the answer in my hands… and some power tools. I took to learning woodworking and created a poker table just the way I wanted it.

So with my wife’s blessing, a little elbow grease and not breaking the bank, I built my first poker table. It was a huge hit with my friends and family. My buddy Mike asked me if id build him one and No Tilt Poker Tables was born and here we are 9 years later.

I left my job at USAA only in July 2021 and we ventured out on our own, We have moved to a space large enough to fulfill our orders and are beyond grateful for the opportunities we have been blessed with. Currently, we are building new tables for Talking Stick Resort and The Lodge Card room in Round Rock, Texas, mixed with some really cool projects that are coming soon!

We are family-owned and operated and we are so grateful to be able to grow our business and offer affordable, handcrafted, custom poker tables to you and your family!

I am actually out in Vegas for 2 weeks playing in the WSOP (World Series of Poker) tournaments. I will also go back out in July for the WSOP Main Event!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We were building tables out of our garage, both working full-time jobs and raising a family.

It was tough, but we did it to ourselves, we knew there was something more to No Tilt than just a few poker custom tables. At the time we were a young family, and the extra money was not just extra, it was a necessity to make ends meet.

What’s the craziest part is about 3 months before we were asked why don’t make this something real, we were about to throw in the towel. We were exhausted juggling our jobs, kids, sports, and building tables in our spare time. It’s unreal to think this was a thought & to see where we are now!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We build custom poker tables.

As custom as anyone wants to get! What sets us apart is the personalized service. Knowing exactly what shape, size, stain, and custom felt the customer wants with the story behind it is something we love.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
We find what helps us do best in life is our faith. We pray on things when met with a decision we just aren’t quite sure of. Since we are a husband and wife team having stellar communication is key!
