Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle And Cassy.

Hi Danielle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Born and raised in Arizona, we traded our finance and marketing backgrounds for a shared love of coffee and community. In August 2024, we hit the road with a converted trailer and a vision: serving up fun, memorable lattes while growing deeper roots at home.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been windy and full of speed bumps—from a broken trailer and exploding products to parking violations, faulty generators, steep costs, sore muscles, crash-course plumbing lessons, and more. Through it all, we’ve stayed motivated, fueled by our vision and the joy of serving every cup.

What sets Cousins Coffee apart is more than just great drinks—it’s our story. As Arizona-born cousins, we built our trailer from the ground up and weathered every bump along the way, from breakdowns to blown generators. That grit, paired with our love for community and creating fun, memorable coffee, carried us to where we are now—our very own set location, where every cup feels like sharing a moment with friends.

Our shop’s size and location has allowed us to partner with and support multiple other small businesses around Peoria. We feature goods from multiple local bakers, a pop-up plant shop, and a local honey Gal.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Laughter and positivity have made us the most successful. We love to say YES to new ideas and try just about anything. This strategy has kept us open to new ideas and allows us to really learn about what works for us and our community.
