Thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Contagion Media Art Agency features eclectic artists specializing in all art forms. Collectively, Contagion Media’s team creates commercial content for websites, magazines, and social media. Artists on Contagion Media’s team have been featured in Forbes, Walmart, and more.
My name is KBR, and I am the founder of Contagion Media. With a passion for photography, music, and videography, I have been an artist almost all of my life. I have been dedicating the last few years of my life to create the platform I have always wanted to exist as a multitalented artist.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Cultivating Contagion Media Art Agency has felt like an impossible goal that has taken my entire life’s dedication and energy for the last few years. Focusing on helping artists has consumed my entire life, but I know the sacrifice of my own art and my own free time in my 20s will be worth it for every artist in the future.
After freelancing for years and graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Photography and Creative Media & Film, I learned how to make money as an artist, and I wanted to create Contagion Media for multi-talented artists like me who needed help with transitioning into becoming a full time artist.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Contagion Media specializes in commercial content creation for websites, magazines, and social media. Our team showcases artists of all mediums so our team is able to connect people, businesses, and brands to the perfect artist for their creative project. In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
More than ever before, the need for art and commercial content is at an all-time high. Businesses, brands, and people all need photos, videos, fashion, and beauty products/services now more than ever. Because everyone is consuming art every minute of every day, society needs to change its perception of artists. Artists are important and they benefit society. Almost everyone uses art as a form of expression or therapy. In 2022, it is time for society to reflect and acknowledge the importance of art and artists.
