Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Caro
Hi Claudia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In 2011, when I arrived in the United States, I started sending my portfolio to architectural offices that I found online. My first client, who is still one of my favorite clients, replied with a small project. They loved it so much that they sent me more projects and recommended me to other clients, and it grew like a snowball. The success of my business is not only due to pricing and quality but also the passion, love, and dedication I put into each project. I really love what I do.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes, I would say it has been a smooth road overall, because I genuinely love what I do. However, I did face a particularly challenging experience with one client. We were in the middle of several projects when I sent them a large invoice. Unfortunately, a hacker intercepted their email and stole the payment they were supposed to send me. My client then asked me to share the loss, assuring me that we’d have more work together in the future to make up for it. Given our positive relationship, I agreed.
But things didn’t go as planned. Over the next three years, they never sent me another project, it looks like they hired other artist, and I was left wondering what went wrong. Despite my efforts to help resolve the situation, they stopped working with me. It was a sad and unfair experience, especially after having gone out of my way to support them.
That was the only bad experience. In the rest of my work, despite some challenging projects, the results are always beautiful, and my clients always end up with big smiles when they see the final images. That makes this job truly worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a 3D artist. I studied architecture, but I specialized in 3D rendering, modeling, and animation. What truly sets me apart from others is that I work out of passion. I don’t focus on numbers or time—I work to create a beautiful project in the end. I’m always driven to give more and go beyond expectations.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The lesson is that we should enjoy each day and give more value to the people around us.
