Check Out Christian Perez Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Perez.

Hi Christian, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started as a Content Creator back in 2012 but never took it seriously until 2016. Throughout those years, I continued to learn and teach myself how to create high-quality content when it came to video, audio, and lighting. I also had to learn how to edit my videos and create thumbnails so I taught myself some Graphic Design as well. I became known as a Gaming/Tech Reviewer on YouTube and built a community.

I kept on improving my content by upgrading the camera from my laptop to a webcam, to my phone, and then finally to an actual camera. Because of learning all this, I got into Photography and Videography and built a passion for Portrait and Product Photography, along with Interview style videos that opened up more doors for me and now I have multiple side hustles and a level of income.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Of course not. There will always be bumpy roads and challenges but as long as you learn from them and improve and do not give up, you will always succeed and surpass your goals. There be many times when I struggled with my videos and building an audience and not getting that many views.

Multiple times when it came to editing and just working with what I had at the time but I continued to learn and grow so when it was time to upgrade, I would already be knowledgeable and know how to use the software or product. We all start somewhere and you will look back one day and see how much you didn’t know and how much you know now and improved.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am known on Social Media as a Gaming & Tech Reviewer. My alias is “Tech HD” and on YouTube, I review products like Gaming Monitors, Microphones, lighting equipment, Gaming Chairs, etc., and worked with countless amazing companies and built a relationship with those brands and showed my worth to not only myself but also about the brand that I created. I talk about the specs, features, quality, pros, and cons of the product. On top of that, there is the Gaming side of me and I am also known as a Streamer. So I mainly stream on Twitch and I am a Variety Streamer. I play FPS games like Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Halo, etc but I also like to relax and have fun with my friends and play some Monopoly, UNO, Golf with Friends, etc.

I play on the PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and even VR so there are countless games for me to play, because of that, I built relationships with Gaming Companies and I am proudly Sponsored by 5x amazing companies. GFUEL Energy, SteelSeries, Kontrol Freek, BenQ Monitors, and Gamer Advantage Glasses. These are brands that I looked up to and dreamed of working with when I was a kid and many many years later, I now do and I’m very proud of that. I didn’t give up and moved on.

I am still considered a Small Creator so I feel like I can still relate to my viewers and I respond to all of the comments and messages on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, and TikTok. I want them to know that I see their comment, I acknowledge it and I reply and want them to know that I noticed them and that they matter to me and I appreciate it.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
In middle school and high school, I never mentioned to my friends and classmates that I’m a Content Creator so no one really knew what I did for years. I felt like it wasn’t “cool” and accepted at the time and I was afraid of being made fun of. So I kept it to myself. My videos were not that high quality and it seemed more embarrassing. Now, everyone wants to be a YouTuber, a Twitch Streamer, or a TikTok.

It’s a lot more accepted now compared to back then and now it can be an actual career. Back then it wasn’t like that and you would barely make any money unless you had millions of subscribers and viewers constantly. Now, it’s much easier than ever and anyone can do it. I don’t know what my life would be like if everyone at my school knew. Maybe it would be the same or maybe it would’ve affected my life in a negative or positive way.
