
Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Ward. Them and their team share their story with us below:
LoFi Eats was founded by Chris Ward and Megan Seuss during the Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020. After losing both of their corporate careers due to unexpected layoffs, Chris and Megan set out on their entrepreneurial journey wishing to bring new, modern, and delicious fusion street cuisine to the Phoenix valley in a pop-up restaurant take-out format. They noticed the high demand for take-out food was only being fulfilled by low-quality and often unhealthy corporate fast-food franchises. Our mission is to redefine take-out by providing a better option for families and individuals looking for great, healthy food on the fly.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We faced a number of challenges, like many others in our community, during the Covid Pandemic. In 2020 we went from corporate promotions and first-time home shopping as a couple to unemployment, financial instability, and eventually being forced to sell Megan’s condo. After bouncing between family couches for a time, we decided to take initiative and work ourselves back into prosperity and personal fulfillment. As first-time entrepreneurs, we have faced countless new challenges from imposter syndrome to sleepless weekends, burning aprons, and failing freezers (…and just about everything in between). However, with humility, perseverance, grit, and a willingness to learn from daily mistakes, we have risen to each occasion with stronger vision and determination than ever before.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
We have found that luck can definitely be persuaded in your favor by planning thoroughly, always showing up, and striving to do our best every day.
That said, we are extremely lucky to have found such an amazing outpouring of support from our friends, family, and community since day 1. They are the ones who believed in us, coached us, and even let us crash at their places (for way too long!) over the past 18 months while we got acclimated to our new responsibilities and lifestyle. We wouldn’t have been able to survive the pandemic, much less start an up-and-coming restaurant business, without them.
